Job summary

UFP Industries is hiring a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, ensuring correct paperwork and records. You will provide production with material per schedule and maintain orderly inventory yards.

The role requires basic math skills, ability to read documentation, and completion of forklift licensing. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and capable of working on site in Adairsville, GA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods and label materials.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain organized rough material and finished goods inventory yard.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
