Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lansing, MI is hiring Warehouse Forklift Operators and Material Handlers. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a clear path to grow within a safety‑driven supply chain environment.

You will operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts, handle automotive parts, and contribute to efficient loading, picking, packing, and shipping. First shift, Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:00pm with overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Punctual with good attendance; detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklift and assist with cycle counting and tote induction.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Support automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
