Job summary

Sonoco in Morganfield, KY is seeking a Material Handler I to support forklift operations and material handling in our tube and core division. The role emphasizes safe, rapid work, with a strong focus on attendance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

You will load and unload trucks, verify labels, and move materials to appropriate stations while helping maintain inventory accuracy and a clean, organized workspace. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a stand-up forklift.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Excellent attendance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently.
• Distribute finished goods and raw materials to workstations across the plant.
• Check tags/labels for accuracy and process paperwork for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and assist with monthly counts.
