Job summary

Beech-Nut Nutrition Company in Amsterdam, NY is seeking a Fork Truck Driver - Material Handler Specialist for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 4:15pm-2:45am). The role uses a forklift to move materials from receiving through production and out for shipping, collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a food-manufacturing environment, and have forklift experience; SAP/Oracle and RF guns are a plus. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with forklift and material handling preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Experience with warehouse systems (SAP, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Use forklift to load/unload trucks or containers, move items into or out of production, and into or out of storage.
• Inspect trucks or containers prior to loading/unloading.
• Issue components and stage materials for production with forklift.
• Move garbage, waste, etc. using forklift.
• Safely operate equipment (Sit down/Stand up forklift, pallet jack) and perform equipment inspections.
• Track inventory with scanners or manual entries; process receipts and shipments accurately.
• Attach identifying tags to boxes or mark them with information.
• Operate, changeover, clean, and troubleshoot palletizing equipment.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized for safety.
• Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Support general housekeeping and sanitation in the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
