Job summary

AtWork Group in Conroe, TX is partnering with a growing company to hire a dependable Material Handler. This role is on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime possible.

You will load and unload materials, move items between production areas and warehouses, and support inventory accuracy and production scheduling. You will operate forklifts and other equipment, assist with receiving, maintain records, and help keep the warehouse clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to handle metal parts in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to count accurately, perform basic calculations, and read warehouse maps with bin locations.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with limited direct supervision.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials and finished products to and from production areas, warehouses, and storage locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Safely stack, organize, and store materials in designated areas.
• Support accurate inventory counts by monitoring materials, identifying discrepancies, and reporting shortages to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to verify contents and quality.
• Maintain accurate records of material movement, inventory counts, and transactions.
• Stage job orders and ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
• Help keep warehouse and production areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment safely and responsibly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on material-handling equipment.
