Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Elwood, Illinois is hiring a Material Handler for a fast-paced warehouse role. The position features weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

You will operate forklifts (Double Reach Trucks may be used), assist with loading/unloading, and help maintain a safe, organized facility. The schedule runs Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Process day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during production hours.
• Fulfilling other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour

• Schedule: Monday - Friday from 10:30AM-7:00PM; OT as business requires (Typically on Mondays and Fridays at the end of shift)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified

• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

• Performs other duties as assigned.
