Job summary

UFP Industries in Mosheim, Tennessee is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production according to the schedule. You will maintain paperwork and production records and provide materials from inventory as required.

Responsibilities include moving material between stations, banding and labeling goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and performing pre-shift equipment checks. You will keep the yard organized and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another.
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods, and label material.
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
