Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and return, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records align with the schedule.

You will load, unload, band and label goods, keep yards organized, support bottlenecks, perform pre-shift checks, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material between stations according to production schedule.
• Band, wrap and/or pack finished goods, and label material.
• Move finished goods from production area to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
