Job summary

UFP Industries in Bartow, FL is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory and production according to the schedule. You will maintain paperwork and production records and provide materials to production as needed.

Responsibilities include moving materials between stations, wrapping and labeling finished goods, and keeping the inventory yard organized. Candidates must have forklift experience and basic math skills, and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Forklift driving experience is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques.
• Must complete forklift licensing process.
• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material between inventory and production stations.
• Band, wrap and label finished goods.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
