Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a full-time on-site Forklift Operator at Joyce, LA to move lumber and materials safely. You will operate a diesel-powered lift with lifting devices, assist with maintenance and housekeeping, and help maintain inventory while adhering to safety standards and procedures. Shift includes days and occasional overtime.

The role requires basic math, mechanical aptitude, and a strong safety record; HS diploma or GED and 18+ years old are required, with training provided on-site.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Excellent safety record and adherence to safety program.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move lumber and related materials.
• Maintain daily PM checklist and keep equipment clean.
• Maintain inventory and keep staging area organized and safe.
• Operate to maintain production pace, quality and uptime; report issues to supervision.
