Job summary

TEL Staffing in Mobile, AL is seeking a Lift Driver/Forklift Operator to move freight and stock via forklift and manual methods in a varied-temperature environment. You will stage products, label, wrap, and pack as needed while following daily tasks and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods.
• Good balance and eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances/heights.
• Work in varying temperatures; forklift operations.
• OSHA forklift certification strongly preferred.
• Overtime availability preferred.
• 5 years of Class V lift operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move freight and stock to/from loading docks, vehicles, storage, and production areas using forklifts or manually.
• Follow written/oral instructions for daily tasks.
• Stage products based on customer orders; sort cargo during loading/unloading.
• Stack goods in storage bays per inventory controls.
• Operate equipment safely, meet productivity and quality expectations.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, and packing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety rules; use seat belt and horn appropriately.
• Keep work area clean; follow company rules and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
