Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel is seeking an Experienced Equipment Operator to operate a forklift in an industrial manufacturing setting. You will perform required operator maintenance on fork trucks, read and interpret reports, and ensure safe handling of materials for loading onto trucks.

Applicants should have knowledge of material handling, banding, palletizing, and loading onto trucks, with on-site training provided. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred and prior forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret typed reports and schedules.
• Certifications or prior experience using moving machinery, such as forklifts, preferred.
• Working knowledge of material handling, banding, palletizing, and loading on to truck preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate fork trucks to load and move equipment and materials.
• Perform operator maintenance on fork trucks.
• Inspect equipment before use.
• Follow safety regulations and coordinate with team members.
