Job summary

NFI in Texas is seeking a Forklift Operator II to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. Fifty percent or more of the time is spent operating forklifts, with duties including order filling and checks as needed.

Candidates should have 2+ years forklift experience or related distribution equipment familiarity, and be able to obtain NFI forklift certification. Strong attention to detail and basic math skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated rack locations.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and transports product to assigned storage locations.
• Pulls, stages, and prepares products for outbound shipment.
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
• Ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standards.
• Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolution.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Reports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly.
• Demonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasks.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.
