Job summary

UFP Factory Built, LLC in the DuBois area is seeking a Forklift Operator II to load and unload trucks and rail cars, maintain paperwork, and follow shipping/receiving procedures. Under supervision, you will move material, prepare shipments, and perform basic equipment maintenance.

You will also complete checklists, keep the yard organized, and participate in safety, CI, and other programs. The role requires 6 months to 1 year forklift experience and a valid forklift license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a forklift or operating similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars.
• Moves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail car.
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Empty trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.
