Job summary

Shaw Industries in Savannah, GA is seeking a Forklift Operator II to build custom orders and transport merchandise from trailers to storage locations and back for shipping. This non-rotating 8-hour shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with a starting hourly rate of $24.07.

Primary duties include pulling materials with a forklift, preparing pallets, and ensuring safe, efficient movement of goods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to sit or stand on lift truck for the entire shift.
• Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck an average of 15 times per hour.
• Warehouse environment may be warm or cool.

Responsibilities

• Receiving a pull task with information on the hard surface material to be pulled and retrieving the correct material with a lift truck.
• Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from location.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Wrap and band hard surface materials prepared on pallets.
• Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment.
• Tape and repair any damaged packages.
• Raise/Lower dock plate
• Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Physical Requirements
