Job summary

UFP Industries seeks a Forklift Operator II to load and unload materials from trucks and rail cars. You will ensure accurate shipping/receiving records and follow established procedures under supervision.

You will perform material movement, labeling, and basic equipment maintenance while maintaining a clean yard and completing necessary paperwork. Training will cover safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education.
• High school diploma GED preferred but not required.
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of forklift experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars.
• Moves material from storage to work areas and vice versa.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading.
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshift startup equipment checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains a clean and organized yard.
• Completes required paperwork.
• Follows forklift rules and company policies.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Summary: Forklift Operator II is responsible for the loading and unloading of material on trucks and rail cars. Maintains correct paperwork and shipping and receiving records are required. Works under immediate supervision and relies on specific directions and instructions.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars
• Moves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.
• Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail car
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Completes preshiftstartup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.
• Completes paperwork as required.
• Empty trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade basic education
• High school diploma GED preferred but not required
• Prefers 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a forklift or operating similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
