Job summary

UFP Industries in Stayton, OR is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, maintain records, and support production schedules. You will ensure accurate paperwork and provide material on demand.

Responsibilities include moving material, packing and labeling, assisting with bottlenecks, performing basic maintenance, and keeping the yard organized. No formal minimum experience required; forklift licensing will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods, and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized inventory yard for rough material and finished goods.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
