Job summary

JOHN B SANFILIPPO & SON, INC is seeking a Forklift Operator I to join our warehouse team in Bainbridge, GA. This entry-level role requires certification in both sit-down and stand-up forklift operation and involves loading and unloading trucks, material handling, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

As part of our food manufacturing operation, you will follow GMP, HACCP/FSMA, SQF standards and participate in inventory control using FIFO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of forklift driving experience.
• Knowledge of safe forklift operation.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load and unload trucks.
• Place items in racks and verify received goods against order documentation.
• Sign Bills of Lading (BOLs) and apply License Plates (LPs) as instructed.
• Pick and put away orders accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct and document truck inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including sweeping, dusting, removing trash, taping open cases, and organizing pallets.
• Rotate inventory using the FIFO method.
• Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any deficiencies.
• Use hand-held scanning equipment accurately and responsibly.
• Conduct location audits as needed.
