Job summary

Abbott's Altavista, VA nutrition manufacturing facility is hiring an Operator for the Warehouse Distribution Center. The role involves coordinating timely material flow from inventory to production areas and shipments, operating a forklift, and using an RF system to store, pick, or assemble finished goods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse RF inventory systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely and accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to requested areas.
• Coordinate timely accurate flow of finished products to support shipments to customers and other destinations.
• Load and unload materials with a forklift.
• Utilize Cambar RF inventory system to store, pick, or assemble finished product for shipment.
• Understand and properly utilize ship orders and warehouse paperwork and RF terminals for shipping/receiving finished product.
• Maintain proper FIFO flow of finished products; operate a forklift with a push-pull attachment (reach forklift).
• Store, pick or assemble finished goods; verify item number, quantity, release status and lot number.
• Know finished product nomenclature and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and the finished goods warehouse.
• Maintain accurate records and reconcile inventory errors.
• All other tasks as assigned by management to meet the needs of the business.
