Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is expanding our manufacturing facility and seeking a dedicated Finished Goods Handler to join our team. This hands-on role will manage material handling, operate a forklift, and support packaging operations to ensure smooth production.

You will work on a rotating schedule, maintain safety and cleanliness, follow GMPs, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to properly store, label, and move raw materials and finished goods.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Three months of training provides knowledge of product quality and basic operations.
• Ability to communicate production issues to coworkers and supervision.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet production needs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
• Ability to work proactively within a diverse, cross-functional team.
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklifts and report any damage or faulty equipment.
• Support production with raw materials and assist with finished goods rotation.
• Transport non-conforming goods to Hold area for quality disposition.
• Ensure proper allergen handling and storage.
• Wrap, tag, and transport finished goods to staging area.
• Follow GMPs, OSHA safety, and all procedures.
• Provide packaging materials, pallets, ingredients, and film as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and consolidate locations when applicable.
• Adhere to UTZ allergen control program and avoid cross contamination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
