Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Mooresville, NC is hiring for a Warehouse/Loader role. The position focuses on moving units to the warehouse or onto machines and trucks safely, with emphasis on proper banding and clear load tags.

You will perform last visual quality checks and ensure accurate unit and truck counts. The job requires a High School diploma or GED, forklift certification with 3–5 years of experience, shift flexibility, and the ability to read and understand order specs and load tags.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently; math skills will be assessed.
• Read and understand an order spec sheet and load tags.
• Lift Truck Training and driving test must be passed to be certified.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Move units to warehouse or load onto machines/trucks safely and efficiently.
• Ensure units are banded properly with visible load tags; check for broken or missing straps.
• Perform last visual quality inspection and keep unit and truck counts accurate.
• Understand FIFO to prevent inventory aging and assist unloading incoming material.
• Complete paperwork accurately and verify counts and inspection results.
