Job summary

InterChange Group, Inc. in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Dry Warehouse on a 12-hour night shift (5:00 pm – 5:00 am). The role handles safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using Raymond forklifts and LP trucks, with rotating weekends.

Compensation ranges from $19.15 to $21.90 per hour. Qualifying candidates will have at least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience, knowledge of RFID and WMS, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sit-down forklift experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with RFID.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Must be able to work overtime, days/evenings/weekends.
• Ability to read numbers and labels and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and containers using provided equipment safely and efficiently.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Take inventory as needed.
• Direct product to correct area in the warehouse.
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Location: Harrisonburg, CPAD8 Dry Warehouse

Overview: Under general supervision, Lift Truck Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and/or packaging materials utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, Raymond stand up forklifts, Raymond stand up dock loaders and various sit down LP trucks.
