Job summary

TEL Staffing & HR is hiring a Lift Driver to move freight using forklifts and perform related tasks. You will work at loading docks and across production areas, following instructions and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for long periods, with a strong emphasis on safe operation and punctual execution. Pay ranges from $18/hr to $20/hr, depending on the client.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screen is required.
• OSHA forklift certification is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be physically capable.
• Overtime availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move freight to and from loading docks, vehicles, storage, and production areas using forklifts or manually.
• Follow instructions to complete daily tasks and duties.
• Stage products according to customer orders and sort cargo during loading/unloading.
• Stack goods in correct storage bays per inventory controls.
• Operate equipment safely to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Perform labeling, wrapping, packing, and other tasks as needed.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules.

Job description

Job Title: Lift Driver

Pay will range from $18/hr-$20/hr for Forklift Operator / Driver positions, depending on the client

Qualifications:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
• Have a good sense of balance.
• Have good eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification strongly preferred.
• Availability to work overtime hours preferred.
• 5 Years of Class V lift operating experience preferred.

JOB DUTIES:

• Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such as forklifts.
• Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
• Stage products based on customer orders.
• Sort cargo during loading or unloading process.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
• Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment. This would include looking in the direction of travel, wearing a seat belt, driving at an appropriate speed, and appropriate use of the horn as examples.
• Keep work area and lift clean to avoid accidents.
• Abide by all company rules and policies in regard to conduct and safety.
• Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervisor/manager.
