Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Forklift Driver in West Columbia, SC. The role requires operating forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods, load/unload shipments, and support inventory accuracy within a busy warehouse.

Typical duties include cycle counts, storage, and transport of materials, along with pre-shift inspections and adherence to safety protocols in a dynamic distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, product labels, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Experience operating forklifts in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution settings.
• Basic computer skills for inventory control and tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move materials around the facility.
• Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring product accuracy and minimizing damage.
• Receive, store, stage, pick, pack, and transport materials to support operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations, perform system transactions, and assist with cycle counts.
• Complete pre-shift inspections and follow OSHA, safety, and procedure guidelines.
• Keep warehouses clean and organized while coordinating with teams.
