Job summary

Vistar in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations. Schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 1 PM until finish, with responsibilities including locating slots, moving pallets, stocking pick slots, and ensuring GMP and safety standards are met.

Qualifying candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 6+ months warehouse experience, and ability to lift up to 90 pounds. Overtime and multi-temperature work environments are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing 10-35 pounds and generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks and sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
• Counts incoming freight in staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day's work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and removes outdated inventory as per policy.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Inspects pallets, moves them with pallet jack or forklift to proper storage area.
• Adheres to safety policies and performs equipment checks.
