Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is seeking a dedicated team member to operate forklifts, handle pallets, and support daily production logistics at our Portage, Wisconsin facility.

The role emphasizes food safety, accurate labeling and weighing, and adherence to safety policies while maintaining organized coolers and efficient material flow. The candidate will perform routine forklift inspections, assist with loading/unloading trucks, and help with closing operations.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to food safety standards.
• Ability to follow procedures for labeling, weighing and documenting products.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts following all policies and procedures.
• Complete forklift inspections daily and address issues promptly.
• Set up, stage and maintain departments and lines with barrels, ingredients, pallets and boxes.
• Weigh, label and record product accurately.
• Load and unload trucks and assist with closing operations.
• Check and maintain water levels in forklift batteries and ensure proper lot numbers are used.
• Keep coolers clean and organized and transport pallets as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
