Nestlé Dunkirk factory, located on Lake Erie's Chadwick Bay, is seeking a CDL-A Yard Jockey/Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts and yard equipment and join a team proud of its heritage and the environment. The role requires pre-operational checks, drive-time safety, and coordination with dock teams in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL A with driving experience required.
• 6+ months experience of forklift or heavy equipment operation in warehouse, industrial, construction, or military environment.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate, monitor and problem solve throughout the yard.
• Safely operate a forklift with duties such as loading and unloading trucks, line hauling, and stocking.
• Monitor storage reefer temperatures and fuel levels.
• Assist carrier drivers on premises.
• Perform preventative standard routines including lubrication, repairs, inspection, and identify defects to coordinate repairs.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and organization.

Position Summary

Our factory in Dunkirk, located along Lake Erie's Historic Chadwick Bay Harbor, is a hidden gem situated 50 miles southwest of Buffalo, New York. With its picturesque Great Lakes waterfront, beautiful beaches, ski resorts, vineyards, and boutique wineries, our associates take great pride in calling Dunkirk their home. Since its establishment in 1971, the factory has undergone several expansions to accommodate the growing production of beloved household brands such as Pro Plan, Beggin, T-Bonz, and Busy. Our factory also works to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.

As a CDL-A Yard Jockey / Forklift Operator, we will count on you to safely and efficientlyoperatebothforkliftsand yard equipment. In this role,you'llbecome a certified forklift operator and willbe responsible forreviewing and activelyparticipatingin risk assessments. Join our dynamic team and conduct pre-operational checks on yard equipment and move trailers to the dock or various yard locations.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $22.48 an hour to start. The pay progression plan follows: Introductory Stage 1 $24.32, Introductory Stage 2 $26.75, Bid Operator rate $35.00 when fully qualified. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
