Ryder is hiring a Forklift Operator/Cargo Handler/Dock Worker in Valdosta, GA to support our distribution network across the US. This role offers weekly pay, benefits, and a path for career growth.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, load and unload trailers, and help maintain a safe, efficient warehouse environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, forklift certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
• Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs material moves with associated transactions as required by the customer.
• Works at a continuous fast pace.
• Loads and unloads inbound/outbound trailers. Ensures all scanning completed correctly. Helps train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensures facility is secure at end of shift, investigates/resolves scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Completes assignments safely within the allotted time.
• Participates in work group and other team activities for the purpose of self improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
