Pratt Industries in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift. You will receive product off the main banding line, load into trailers or move to inventory, and transfer items to machines.

You will also complete required paperwork and maintain accurate inventory using scanners. The role requires a licensed powered industrial truck operator, the ability to operate a lift truck safely, and strong communication skills.

Job Description

• Receives product off the main banding line.
• Checks load tags and either loads the product into the specified trailer(s), or moves product into inventory.
• Moves product from inventory to machines.
• Completes the required paper work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow and help to ensure that fellow workers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
• Be constantly vigilant and maintain a safe & clean work area.
• Utilize scanners and ensure inventories are kept accurate.
• Ensure that all orders produced are moved to the next operation.
• Handle product to minimize damage
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed powered industrial truck operator
• Must be able to operate a lift truck safely with minimal product damage
• Must be able to accurately scan load tags and maintain accurate inventories
• Must be able to read and follow production schedules

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred, not required.
• Forklift license required.

Physical Demands

• The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.

• The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
