Job summary

Hawthorne Gardening Co. in Shreve, OH is seeking a Forklift Operator on 2nd shift to move merchandise safely and efficiently. You will operate forklift to unload inbound shipments, stack and locate products, and assist with order picking and inventory controls.

The role requires OSHA-compliant safety practices, ability to perform pre-shift inspections, and basic math for counting and verifying orders. Eligible for comprehensive benefits after probation and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year experience operating a forklift.
• Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting and dividing.
• Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products.
• Must be able to complete the pre-shift inspection forms.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
• Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Report quality variances and pull/prepare product for shipment.
• Perform picking duties and use RF equipment as required.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area and assist inventory control.
