Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to manage the inbound/outbound flow of product from the main banding line. You will verify load tags, load products into trailers or move them to inventory, and transfer stock to machines as needed.

Responsibilities include following all safety policies, performing daily equipment inspections, and ensuring accurate inventory through scanners. You will also complete required paperwork and support other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to operate a powered industrial truck.
• Operator must handle lift trucks safely with minimal damage.
• Must scan load tags and maintain inventories accurately.
• Ability to read and follow production schedules.

Job Description

Overview:

• Receives product off the main banding line.
• Checks load tags and either loads the product into the specified trailer(s), or moves product into inventory.
• Moves product from inventory to machines.
• Completes the required paper work.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow and help to ensure that fellow workers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
• Be constantly vigilant and maintain a safe & clean work area.
• Help feed machines.
• Utilize scanners and ensure inventories are kept accurate.
• Ensure that all orders produced are moved to the next operation.
• Handle product to minimize damage.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed powered industrial truck operator
• Must be able to operate a lift truck safely with minimal product damage
• Must be able to accurately scan load tags and maintain accurate inventories
• Must be able to read and follow production schedules

Required Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Problem solving and critical thinking

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred , not required.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
• The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees – 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
