Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Forklift Operator to work in our rugged 50+ acre outdoor manufacturing environment in Pageland, South Carolina. The role requires operating a 5,000 lb forklift in both covered and uncovered areas within a fast-paced facility.

You will load/unload, verify packing slips, organize the yard, and ensure timely handling of materials. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years' forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read, write and communicate in

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience operating 5,000 lb forklift in outdoor yard.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to perform routine inspection, fueling and maintenance.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Math, communication and comprehension to interface with transportation and dispatch.
• Must pass internal Forklift Certification Training and safety procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs and endure outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work in dusty, hot or cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklift equipment.
• Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures.
• Safely load and unload product from flatbeds and box trailers.
• Validate packing slips, ship tickets, and other delivery docs by auditing, recording and interpreting shipping data.
• Other duties as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

GardenCore is seeking a Forklift Operator. The Forklift Operator position requires operating a forklift in a rugged 50+ acre outdoor, paved and unpaved environment. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, covered, and uncovered manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate stretch wrap machines, film roll up-enders, and extended boom arm forklift equipment
• Organize product on the yard according to inventory procedures
• Safely load product onto and unload product from flatbeds and box trailers
• Validate packing slips, ship tickets, and other delivery documentation by auditing, recording and interpreting shipping documentation, weights & measures, labels and production schedules
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience operating 5,000 lb forklift in an outdoor yard environment
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to perform routine inspection, fueling & preventive maintenance duties (lubrication, cleaning, battery change)
• Ability to read and write in English
• Math, communication, and comprehension skills to interface with transportation, dispatch, & direct trailer hitch operations
• Ability to successfully pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 65 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipment
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
• Able to sit for extended periods, climb up & down from cab heights, and work effectively in extreme outdoor climate(s) - cold, heat, rain, fog

Compensation

• Hourly Rate of $17 - $18 per hour
