Job summary

Case Farms is seeking a forklift operator to move pallets from the production floor into freezer bays for shipment. You will inspect and monitor equipment, report issues to supervision, and operate high-reach forklifts safely under OSHA guidelines.

Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support the team with additional lift-related tasks as needed. Eligible applicants are 18+, capable of basic math, and committed to punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Removes pallets from the production floor and places them in the freezer bays for shipment.
  • Inspects equipment to ensure optimal operating condition.
  • Notifies supervisor/lead of forklift or equipment issues.
  • Safely operates high-reach forklifts per OSHA and Case Farms guidelines.
  • Follows safety policies and keeps work environment safe for others.
  • Performs additional warehouse, inventory, or lift-related tasks as needed.

Job description

  • Removes pallets from the production floor and carefully places them in the correct bay in the freezer for future shipment.
  • Properly inspects equipment to ensure they are in optimum operating condition.
  • Notifies supervisor and/or lead of any issues with the forklift or malfunction(s).
  • Safely operates high-reach forklifts under OSHA and Case Farms guidelines.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures based on required training and ensures coworkers maintain a safe working environment to prevent accidents.
  • Additional warehouse, inventory, or lift-related tasks not listed may be assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read and write legibly.
  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
  • Maintains a clean, uncluttered, safe work area.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and interpersonal interactions.
  • Maintains consistent and regular attendance.
  • Prompt, punctual, and efficient with time.
  • Basic math functions and skills.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced plant environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, squat, climb, balance, stretch, walk, reach, twist, bend, grasp, use hands and fingers, handle objects or controls, talk, and hear.
  • Agility to negotiate around moving machinery and people.
  • Work in a noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipment.
  • Will be exposed to temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.
  • Will handle product -10 degrees to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
