Job summary

D&W Fine Pack, located in Fountain Inn, SC, seeks a Material Handler (Forklift Operator) for a 12-hour day shift to move material throughout the plant and warehouse, using hand methods or electric lifts.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. The role requires at least one year of forklift experience, ability to read work orders, and commitment to safety and quality practices. The schedule features rotating weekends off and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of forklift experience required.
• Experience working 12 hour shifts.
• Willingness to follow verbal/written instructions.
• May be required to use floor loading trucks.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and be willing to train in cross-functional areas and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move stock and other materials to and from storage and production areas by hand or other equipment.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needs.
• Ability to hand build pallets per MO.
• Attach identifying labels to containers, and/or mark them with identifying information.
• Secure material and products for transport to designated areas by using the stretch-wrapper machine.
• Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials and products from pallets, skids, platforms and trucks.
• Unloads and verifies inbound shipments.
• Verifies actual quantities as compared to picking list, packing list, BOL, and other WH Operation standard paperwork.
• Follow company Food Safety practices and SQF standards.
