Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in York, PA is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler (temporary to permanent). This role supports a clean, safe distribution center environment, operating reach trucks and sit-down forklifts to move motorcycle and automotive parts.

Shifts are third shift Mon-Thu 7:00 pm–5:30 am with Friday as needed; weekly pay; paid training; safety gear provided; emphasis on safety and teamwork; candidates with forklift experience and a valid license encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hour.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $18.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay $27.75 per hour
• Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour when working 3rd shift
• Schedule: Third Shift Monday - Thursday 7:00 pm - 5:30 am & Fridays as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

• Performs other duties as assigned.
