Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a Terrell-based manufacturer to fill forklift operator positions. The role focuses on safely moving trailers and materials, maintaining a clean and organized outdoor work area, and following 5S and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will pass a forklift test, demonstrate solid observation and communication, and work well as part of a team in an outdoor manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must pass forklift test.
• Proficient in operating, backing out, backing in, and parking a forklift with a 30' trailer attached.
• Excellent observation and awareness to safely operate a forklift and avoid obstacles.
• Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.

• Work as a member of a team, follow instructions, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Safely and proficiently operates forklift to move trailers and materials
• Assist with and administer forklift operator tests
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education - Experience Required

• Must pass Forklift test
• Proficient in operating, backing out, backing in, and parking a forklift with a 30' trailer attached
• Excellent observation and awareness abilities necessary to safely operate a forklift and avoid obstacles
• Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40+ pounds
• Ability to work effectively in an outdoor manufacturing/industrial environment
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
