Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services in Toledo, OH is seeking a warehouse forklift operator on a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM–5:00 PM), with heavy loads such as solar panels, steel, titanium, and other oversized items moved safely on the warehouse floor using forklifts, cranes and hoists.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in stocking and picking orders, and adherence to health, ISO and 6S initiatives; pre-employment drug testing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and write English (French in Quebec).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Prior forklift experience is required.
• Safety mindset and alertness on a busy warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product per inventory plan.
• Selects product to fill customer orders and packages them.
• Loads and unloads trucks; verifies items loaded/unloaded.
• Picks, processes and packs orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions when required.
• Performs general cleanup and housekeeping.
• Inspects forklift at shift start; reports issues.
• Supports health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in other duties to support operations as needed.
• Works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
• Meets TKNA employee attributes/competencies.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.


• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.


• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.


• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.


• Completes cycle Counts.


• Identifies, holds and segregate defective material.


• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.


• Performs general clean up.


• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.


• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.


• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.


• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
