Job summary

DHL Supply Chain, a part of Deutsche Post DHL, is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift in Streetsboro, OH. You will load/unload shipments, move stock, and operate various forklifts and pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires forklift experience, a certificate, and at least 6 months in warehousing. Pay includes hourly rate plus shift differential and freezer premium. Competitive benefits offered. Onsite position with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Six months warehouse experience
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other power equipment 80% of shift
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
• Assist in physical inventories
• Complete daily inspection of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position: Forklift Operator
Shift: 3rd Shift
Hours: 10pm-6am
Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Pay: $20.70 per hour plus $1.50 Shift Differential plus $2.50 Freezer premium

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months warehouse experience

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months operating Stand-Up Reach Truck; Minimum of 6 months operating Stand-Up Dock Stocker; Minimum of 6 months operating Electric Pallet Jack

Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused.
