Job summary

Nissin Foods USA is hiring Machine Operators in Spartanburg, SC to run production machinery and support sanitation and GMP requirements. You will participate in start-up/shutdown, inspections, and documentation while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

The role emphasizes safety, problem-solving, and cross-training peers, with opportunities to improve efficiency and product quality. Strong communication and basic arithmetic are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year related experience and/or training, or equivalent education.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and basic arithmetic.
• Team-oriented with ability to work in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience operating basic machines in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery following standard operating procedures, including start-up and shutdown.
• Perform routine inspections of machinery and complete required reports.
• Verify safety covers/guards are in place.
• Use designated utensils to transfer raw materials.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in production areas and follow GMP policies; ensure doors are closed.
• Keep the work area clean and free of debris/overflow products; sweep surfaces and floors.
• Accumulate overflow of products into designated containers.
• Report deficiencies and abnormal conditions to supervisor.
• Perform troubleshooting and technical adjustments, identify and implement process improvements, ensure production efficiency and product quality, and assist in formal training of other operators.
• Apply problem-solving to minor machine/product issues, supports efficiency improvements, maintain operational documentation, and assist with informal peer training.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Overview

Machine Operators are responsible for operating production machinery in accordance with company standards and procedures. The responsibilities range from basic machine operation and sanitation to advanced troubleshooting, efficiency improvements, and formal training of peers. Operators ensure machinery functions at designed capacity, maintain sanitary and safe working conditions, and contribute to overall production efficiency and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery following standard operating procedures, including start-up and shutdown. Operate machines based on training and level of experience such as Caser, Wrappers, Soup/Blending, Arpac, Box Maker, Palletizer, PMC Sanitation, etc.
• Perform routine inspections of machinery and complete required reports.
• Verify safety covers/guards are in place.
• Use and store designated utensils to transfer raw materials.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in production areas and follow all GMP policies; ensure doors are closed.
• Keep the work area clean and free of debris/overflow products; sweep surfaces and floors.
• Accumulate overflow of products into designated containers.
• Report deficiencies and abnormal conditions to supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience operating basic machines in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Range

USD $19.25 - USD $27.25 /Hr.
