Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Rochelle, Illinois is seeking a Material Handler for the second shift, 5:30 pm to 4:00 am, Monday–Friday with weekends off unless mandated. Pay is $20.50 per hour, with an additional $0.75 per hour for night shifts and weekly pay.

Operate electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts in a clean, safety-focused warehouse environment. We value teamwork, safety, reliability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Forklift Operator's License certified required.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment including electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts.
• Perform loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving and cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and records in warehouse environment.
• Support safety and quality initiatives and maintain clean, organized work area.

Warehouse Forklift Operator Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour for nights worked
• Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Friday 5:30 pm - 4:00 am with one day off through the week and weekends off unless mandated.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
