Job summary

Sea Box, Inc. is seeking a qualified forklift operator to move materials within our onsite facility in New Jersey. The role requires a certified operator with 1-2 years of related experience and a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

You will work under the Department Supervisor, actively identifying safety hazards, supporting cost reduction, and ensuring timely, secure handling of pallets, containers, and goods. Overtime and non-standard hours may apply.

Qualifications

  • Certified forklift operator preferred.
  • 1-2 years related experience in a similar role.
  • Experience operating 10-30k lift capacity and 6-9ft forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent accidents by identifying and reporting hazards.
  • Move materials using forklifts, top loaders, and related equipment.
  • Inspect containers and ensure timely, safe delivery.
  • Load/unload materials and operate lifting devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Description

Operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Department Supervisor. The ideal candidate should be a certified forklift operator and have experience in a similar position. Detail-oriented and team player.

Responsibilities:
  • Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
  • Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
  • Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Sea Box Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
  • Inspect containers, and safely move it around the facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
  • Move controls to drive forklift, top loader, and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
  • Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
  • Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
  • Turn valves and open chutes to dump, spray, or release materials from dump cars or storage bins into hoppers.
  • Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
  • Lifting production objects of up to 50lbs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Employees are eligible for most benefits on the 1st of the month following date of hire.

Hourly Rate Range:$22.00 - $27.00 / hour
Location:

This position is onsite (non-remote) at the Company’s corporate headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position may occasionally require working overtime and/or working outside of the Company’s normal hours of operation.

Requirements
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

The candidate should possess 1-2 years' related experience. Experience operating 10-30k lift capacity and 6-9ft. forklifts.
