Overview

Position Title: Forklift Operator. Reports To: Field Foreman.

Position Summary

A Forklift Operator shall perform general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean-up and preparation, mobilization and demobilization to and from the jobsite, and general construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal directions to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Perform heavy lifting as required.
• Clean-up work area, supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman regarding issues and concerns on the job site.
• Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.
• Maintain a reliable attendance record and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Minimum 0-1 years of experience as forklift operator or in a similar role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Unload and upload material; good knowledge of industrial equipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages; report quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations; inspect machinery.
• Determine the need for repairs; keep updated records of inventory.
• Produce activity logs; comply with company policies and guidelines.

Work Conditions / Physical Demands

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
• No adverse environmental conditions expected; must be able to work in high noise volumes, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and dusty conditions; operate around hazardous machinery and in precarious locations.
