Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock within a fast-paced warehouse. You will load and unload shipments, operate several forklift types, and ensure accurate counts for orders. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency in a team setting.

Typical hours are 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday, with a starting pay of $19.75 per hour and benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, PTO, 401(k) matching, tuition assistance, and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification or completed forklift-training within 30 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklifts or power equipment for 80% of shift.
• Prepare product for shipment with exact counts and types.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Monitor load stability and report variances as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and battery/LP tank changes.
• Assist in physical inventories and maintain a clean, organized facility.

Position: Forklift Operator

Shift: 1st shift

Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Days: Tuesday - Friday

Pay: $19.75 per hour

Required Qualification: A minimum of 6 months previously operating a Reach Truck or High Reach, forklift; ability to pick 250 cases an hour, ability to handle vigorous, fast paced, and high volume work environment.

Preferred Qualification: Experience with a dock stocker; experience with electric pallet jack; experience handling Bill of Landing (BOL).

Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
