Job summary

Rand Whitney Container in Whitinsville, MA is seeking a Forklift Operator to load, unload, and move materials within a fast-paced corrugated packaging environment.

You will operate powered industrial trucks safely, inspect equipment, follow production schedules, and document data. The role requires 0–2 years of related experience and a forklift license; attention to detail and teamwork are essential in maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of corrugated packaging or general manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Working knowledge of layouts, production specifications and product quality specifications.
• Must have a high level of attention to prevent injuries and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and move them to designated areas.
• Deliver stock to machines safely and on time per production schedule.
• Complete forklift inspections before shift and after switching units; report maintenance needs.
• Adhere to daily production schedule and help optimize it for cost, quality, delivery and service.
• Complete required forms and reports accurately (Production Data, Status, Safety, Quality).
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at designed capacity and speed.
• Support special projects as business needs dictate.

Operation of a forklift in a safe manner.2. Deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time.3. Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.4. Adhere to daily production schedule.5. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.6. Complete assigned forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.7. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.8. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.9.
