Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Nampa, Idaho. The role involves operating an order picker or forklift, picking and packing parts, loading trailers, and moving items around the facility with attention to safety and inventory control.

Training is provided, and prior forklift or automotive experience is a plus. The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior forklift experience preferred or automotive experience a plus.
• Ability to read packaging, shipping documents and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and measurement skills; ability to perform simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate order picker or forklift with safety harness as required.
• Pick, pack, check, and load products on/off trailers and into designated areas.
• Move parts and materials using pallets and crates around the facility.
• Stack loads in correct storage bays following inventory-control rules.
• Read and follow packaging, shipping docs and safety instructions; perform other duties as assigned.

Utilize an order picker or fork lift to pick parts off shelves and stock parts on shelves as directed.

Essential Job Duties

• Operate order picker or forklift. Ensure the safety harness is securely in place while operating the equipment.
• Pick, pack, check, and load products accurately on/off trailers and to and from designated areas of the facility.
• Move parts and other materials around the facility using pallets and crates.
• Stack loads in correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions.
• Place parts into inventory Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines. Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior forklift experience.
• Prior automotive experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Problems encountered are simple, repetitive and generally solved by clear directions or procedures.
• Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.
• Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.
• Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
• The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. On occasion, an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
