Full Time Minneapolis, MN, US

Keep Materials Moving. Support Production. Own the Details.

International Packaging Inc. is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operator to help keep materials, products, and production moving throughout our facility.

This is an important operational role. You'll be responsible for unloading incoming materials, staging supplies for production, moving finished goods, supporting shipping and receiving, and making sure materials are where they need to be when they need to be there.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates well, works safely, and understands that good material flow directly impacts the entire operation.

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime
Compensation:$20.00 - $27.00/hour, depending on experience
Benefits: PTO, 401(k) match, health, dental, vision, and comprehensive benefits package

What You’ll Do

As a Forklift Operator, you will:

Keep Materials Moving: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment throughout the facility.

Support Receiving: Unload inbound freight, inspect materials for obvious damage, and ensure products are moved to the correct location.

Support Production: Stage raw materials, supplies, pallets, and other items needed to keep production running efficiently.

Support Shipping: Prepare finished products for shipment, stage outbound orders, and safely load trucks.

Maintain Organization: Keep warehouse, storage, shipping, receiving, and production support areas clean, organized, and ready for audits or inspections.

Protect Accuracy: Help ensure materials and finished goods are moved, staged, and handled accurately.

Communicate Clearly: Work closely with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and other team members to communicate priorities, shortages, delays, or issues.

Put Safety First: Follow all IPI safety procedures and equipment requirements. Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or potential hazards.

Stay Flexible: Support changing production and shipping priorities when needed to keep work moving.

What Success Looks Like

You'll know you're succeeding when:

  • Production has the materials it needs without unnecessary delays.
  • Incoming and outgoing materials are handled safely and accurately.
  • Finished goods are staged and loaded correctly and on time.
  • Warehouse and production support areas stay clean and organized.
  • Equipment is operated responsibly and according to IPI safety standards.
  • Problems are communicated early instead of becoming someone else’s surprise.
  • Production, Shipping, and Receiving can depend on you to follow through.
  • You consistently demonstrate IPI's values of Character, Service, and Excellence.
Who We’re Looking For

You're dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving production environment.

You understand that operating a forklift is only part of the job. The bigger responsibility is making sure materials move accurately, safely, and efficiently throughout the operation.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in material handling, warehousing, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Prior forklift experience strongly preferred.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain IPI forklift certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with multiple departments.
  • Basic math skills to support inventory, material, and shipment accuracy.
  • Ability to adjust priorities as production and shipping needs change.
Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, including:

  • Standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment.
  • Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling materials.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to safely work around production equipment, warehouse traffic, and loading areas.
Why IPI?

For nearly 50 years, International Packaging has helped clients bring packaging, promotional, and marketing ideas to life.

Our culture is built around three values:

Character: Do the right thing. Be honest, dependable, and accountable.

Service: Help the people around you succeed. Treat teammates and customers with respect.
