Job summary

Placon Corporation in Madison, AL is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to handle materials safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will operate reach truck/stand-up forklifts, load and unload trailers, and move inventory with care to support production.

We offer a 12-hour rotating schedule (2 on/2 off/3 on/2 off) with a night shift differential of 6% and the potential to earn up to $2,883 more annually.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of verified reach truck experience.
• Safe equipment operation and adherence to SOPs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach truck/stand-up forklift and pallet jacks.

Forklift Operator

We're looking for a dependable Forklift Operator who takes pride in safe, accurate material handling and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you're skilled with reach truck/stand-up forklifts, confident navigating warehouse systems, and ready to play a key role in keeping production running smoothly, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

Compensation

Starting hourly rate is $21.00 per hour. Team Members working the Night shift will qualify for an additional 6% shift differential.

Work Schedule

Rotational 12-hour shift | 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off

• Day Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM
• Night shift: 6 PM - 6 AM (preference given to night candidates)

Employees working this rotating schedule can earn up to an additional $2,882.88 annually compared to a traditional 8-hour shift schedule

What You Bring

• Proven record of safe equipment operation and adherence to SOPs
• Strong attention to detail with accurate counting, labeling, and documentation
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. occasionally and stand for 12-hour shifts
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Familiarity with WMS systems, RF scanners, and basic computer/email skills
• Team-oriented mindset with solid communication and problem-solving skills
