Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Sit Down Forklift Operator in Wilmington, IL. Roles involve operating electric sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and RF scanners in a food products warehouse.

Base pay is $21.00/hr with a $3.00/hr shift differential for B shift, plus a potential 3% raise after 1 year. Schedule is B shift: Sun–Tue 5:00 pm–4:30 am and Wed 5:00 pm–10:45 pm. Growth opportunities and weekly pay are highlighted benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Flexible schedule across various shifts.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy per contract performance guidelines.
• Ensure correct picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, BOLs).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Up to $24.00 per hour (including shift differentials)

• Base pay: $21.00 per hour - 3% increase after 1 year
• Additional Pay: Shift Differentials: $3.00 per hour when working B shift
• Schedule: B: Sunday–Tuesday 5:00 pm -4:30 am and Wednesday 5:00 pm–10:45 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

• Performs other duties as assigned.
