Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock in our fast-paced warehouse. You will operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts and electric pallet jacks, load and unload shipments, and help prepare products for shipment.

The role requires 6 months of warehouse and forklift experience, a forklift certificate, and the ability to work the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 4p-12a). We offer competitive pay, benefits beginning after 30 days, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Move stock within the warehouse using forklifts or other power equipment.
• Load, unload, and stage products for shipment.
• Operate sit-down counterbalance and electric pallet jack.
• Maintain safety and OSHA/MSDS standards.
• Keep inventory records and reports for accuracy.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The core responsibilities of this role include a combination of equipment operating (30-90% depending on production peak times) but will also require the employee to perform material handling and loading/unloading duties. This position requires safe and efficient operation of sit-down Counterbalance and Electric Pallet Jack.

Shift: 2nd Monday - Friday 4p-12a

Pay: $18.90 + 2.00 Shift Differential

First preference will be given to those with sit down Counterbalance and Electric Pallet Jack experience. Experience operating other material handling equipment such as Order (Cherry) Picker, Stand-Up, Clamp, or Reach Truck is also a plus. Role Purpose

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You’ll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
