Job summary

Amentum is seeking a forklift operator in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves operating forklifts and hand/power trucks, handling stock, and following established safety and inventory procedures.

You will participate in inspections, maintain cleanliness, and assist with unloading/loading and shipping activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift driving experience.
• Ability to receive customer computer access.

Job description

Essential Duties

• Report to work in a fit for duty and ready to work condition daily.
• Inspect PPE and safety equipment prior to use, and report any PPE or equipment in a broken, worn, or not ready for use status.
• Immediately report any injury or incident to a supervisor regardless of significance.
• Participate in safety initiatives like observations, near misses, and safety committees.
• Operate forklift.
• Transport stock.
• Unload product from conveyor.
• Operate RF Gun.
• Rearrange and inventory stored materials.
• Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
• Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Understand inventory control paperwork.
• Dispose of non-recyclable condemned product in dumpsters.
• Load and unload trailers as required.
• Receive, stage, store, stack, ship and un-stack palletized materials.
• Conduct and document forklift inspection checklist.
• Perform pc transactions as required.
• Observe safe practice rules (including housekeeping) as well as instructions relating to the efficient performance of their work.
